The Club was founded in 2010 by Dornoch and District Community Association (DADCA) as the Dornoch Sociable Cinema and has been running since then with a break during the Covid pandemic. The mission originally was to support our parent body DADCA, to bring the community together through the shared experience of watching films, fostering a love for cinema, and supporting the arts in our region.
About Us - Dornoch Cinema Club is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of films, from classic masterpieces to contemporary hits, independent films, and foreign language cinema. We believe in the power of movies to entertain, educate, and inspire.
Our History - Since its inception, the Club has grown in membership and scope, providing a platform for film enthusiasts to enjoy and discuss their favourite movies. Our screenings are held in the Dornoch Social Club, creating a unique and intimate viewing experience.
Membership and Support - Membership to Dornoch Cinema Club is open to everyone. By becoming a member, you not only gain access to our regular screenings and special events but also support the continuation and growth of the club. Membership fees and donations help us cover operational costs and bring a wider range of films to our community.
Admission is by membership fee and, from the 1st of April 2026 , will be £25.00 per person per annum. Membership forms will be available at the door.
